  • Dr. Tom Wadsworth

Dr. Tom Wadsworth’s YouTube series, “Why the Early Church Didn’t Have ‘Worship Services,’” has already captured over 1,000,000 views in more than 110 countries. His groundbreaking research challenges common assumptions about Christian assemblies and offers a fresh vision of the nature and purpose of these gatherings.

With more than 40 years of study and doctoral-level research into Christian assemblies in the New Testament, Dr. Wadsworth has become a lightning rod for those seeking to understand how to “do church.” His work has attracted 18,000+ subscribers, sparked 50+ podcast interviews in the last year, and continues to stir global conversation.

Tom and his wife, Nancy, are active volunteers in their community. Married for 52 years, they have three children and eight grandchildren.

  • Matt Dabbs

    HOME CHURCH PLANTER

Matt Dabbs is a home church planter, disciple maker and ministry coach who is helping Christians start home churches across the U.S. and in 17+ nations.

After serving in traditional church ministry for nearly 20 years, he found his church closed in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic. That’s when Matt began “Backyard Church” in his Auburn, Alabama, backyard. After immersing himself in studying the dynamics of home churches, he now develops training for creating simple, reproducible, biblically grounded Christian gatherings.

In 2024, Matt launched HomeChurchResources.org, an online global community of home church planters. The site contains many free and subscriber resources for those seeking to start, sustain and multiply home churches. Matt’s YouTube channel, Revolution of Ordinaries, also focuses on discipleship training and home churches, as his videos have generated over 1.3 million views.

Matt holds a Master of Divinity and has studied clinical psychology on a graduate level. Married to Missy for over 20 years, they have two teenage sons, Jonah and Elijah.
